Jon Bartelson

Jon Bartelson resides in Grafton, Massachusetts and provides information technology consulting and administration services to small businesses throughout central Massachusetts. Jon began his consulting career in 1996, working with a team of other consultants for Network Technologies Group through the year 2000, and has since worked independently with a small base of clients.

Jon graduated in 2001 from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, Massachusetts with high distinction and a GPA of 3.85. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, with a minor in Management Information Systems. Jon also recently completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts

In addition to independent consulting, Jon serves as Assistant Director of Computing Services at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. At WPI, Jon manages the enterprise-wide administrative and academic computing environments for all WPI campuses, leads the Windows computing support group and provides support to other functional groups. He assists in managing support services, database/ERP management, operations, budgets, training, and helps to plan future directions for WPI's IT division.

Jon is a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. In addition to his experience engineering and managing Microsoft Windows-based server and desktop environments, he has extensive experience with Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Systems Management Server, and many flavors of UNIX. He is proficient in C#, VB.NET and ASP.NET.
